Our WHY

A letter written by our Founder, Jonathan

Dear Friend,

There was a point in my life when alcohol and drugs dominated my world. I remember the day my mother helped me pack up my belongings; an eviction notice still hanging on my door. I promised her I was done with that life; I made a vow to never drink or use drugs again. I meant it. With everything I had left, I meant it. Not a day later, I was high again. Things would only get worse. I was miserable, lonely, and absolutely exhausted. Living in filth, my life seemed pointless. I was defeated.

But by the Grace of God, I was given an opportunity to go to treatment. There, I found a way out of a hell I had once thought impossible to escape. I was saved by the hand of the Lord and given a new purpose. With that purpose in mind, I made a commitment to my family and the One who saved me that I would do everything in my power to offer the same life-changing opportunity to others.

Over the last ten years, I have surrounded myself with like-minded individuals who have made it their life’s work to fight on the firing line of alcohol and drug addiction.

This past year, a few of my associates and I created a 501(c)(3) charitable organization," Operation Rise Again" to assist those who wish to undergo treatment for alcohol or drug addiction, but cannot afford all or a portion of the cost for a treatment center.

While substance abuse treatment centers typically have some charity beds, they always seem to be full or have a long waiting list. The assistance we provide includes financial assistance, access to pre-screened quality treatment, and community support during and after treatment. Our resources are designed to improve the likelihood of long-term sobriety.

We hope to gain your trust and support in any way that you feel led to offer.

I greatly appreciate your time. May blessings abound in your day!

Sincerely,

Jonathan Martinez
